Weebly: Cheap and Easy Website Creator

Drag & Drop

Have you ever thought that blogging, writing, and hobbies should be displayed not only in one place, but in one place owned by you? A website is a perfect way to speak your thoughts, show your work, and attract the interest of others. Every organization, whether large or small, whether profit or non-profit include a website in the earlier part of their 5 year plan. For personal writers, bloggers, and for those of you who would like to share their work and hobbies, it is recommended that you should build a website to get your name around.

Building websites can be very difficult. It takes many people years of schooling and hundreds of hours on their own to learn the programing languages, the art of design, and promotion. Unless you are very familiar with web design, I would revert to paying someone to do this. This can be very expensive. I have seen sites go for a minimum of about $10,000. For personal sites, you can find cheaper prices, but still not something you want to pay for. On top of this, if you are creating a personal site, you also have to pay for hosting, which can add up over the years.

One of the simplest and most useful ways to create a website is through a drag and drop builder. I have come across a couple, but the best that I have found so far is on Weebly.com. Their drag and drop design is extremely easy to use. There is a revenue tab for placing ads on your site easily, a general section for placing photos and text and other components on your site, and a media tab for video and flash movies and games. With these options, you have a lot of freedom to design your site the way you want to. If, instead, you would like to create a blog, you can easily click the pages tab and ad a blog to your site or make your site a blog.

Themes, Hosting, and More

If the drag and drop builder was not enough freedom for you to build a beautiful site, Weebly offers over 100 different themes that you can choose from to liven up your site or blog. There is a large enough selection for you to choose very relevant themes for professional sites, personal blogs, and other types of sites. You also have the freedom to create your own theme with html, if you know the coding language.

Weebly also hosts websites for their clients. The hosting is very powerful, reliable, and cheap. Not only can you host your site, but you can also purchase a domain name for your site. The hosting is free, the domain name is fairly cheap, and everything is in one place for your convenience.

If you do not wish to pay for your own domain name, you can use Weebly's domain name. This means that your site will look like this: your-website-name.weebly.com. It may not look perfect, but it is free and easy to use.

To give you an idea of what a blog can look like, the picture above is of one of my blogs that I put together with Weebly. As you can see, you can create very eye friendly websites.

Weebly is great, but I was discouraged when I read that they get half of the Adsense income (which is their right and privilege because they need to earn too), so I concluded I'll just write here on hubpages and the others, as they're already SEOd.

But for non-Adsense websites, Weebly is great.

Hi Nera, I know what you mean about the 50/50 Google Adsense revenue share, but to be honest, I am mostly using my Weebly site to help promote my articles here and for blogging for fun. I have some ads on my site, but they do not earn me much money right now. If you want to create a website with the intention of making money from that site, Weebly is probably not the best place to go.

But as you said, for professional ad-free websites, Weebly has a great platform.
